Private Tuition - English & EAL

Harrison F. Carter offers English tuition to students of all ages and abilities. The study of English is an important component of education in schools - one which will benefit a child throughout their life - with aptitude and competence being required for employment, enjoyment and as well as to meaningfully connect with others in the international community of which we inhabit.

Working with the TEFL qualified tutor, young people will develop their understanding of the rules of grammar, punctuation and the structure of writing, as per the curriculum. Additionally, working with a published author, your child will also discover the joys of reading and writing - learning and practicing how to write for their academic studies, as well as for creative purposes of leisure, enjoyment and career potential - appreciating English as something more than just a series of rules.

Each child will be offered a bespoke programme of learning, tailored to their individual needs, encouraging them to find their 'voice' and to use it proficiently, effectively and imaginatively. Working with the author will help your child to develop a confidence in their ability that is transferable across all elements of their learning and development.

        Benefits:

- Guided, structured one-to-one lessons for students of all ages and abilities in the study of English & EAL (UK curriculum).

- Creative and engaging methods of learning.

- Improve grades and confidence working with a professionally qualified & experienced author, tutor and mentor.

What the teachers say...

“Harrison is an inspirational teacher and author who has written and published a book that conveys the humanitarian values that all schools should promote; a love of life, each other and our beautiful world. If all our children were nurtured by teachers who could convey their emotional intelligence in such a creative way, the wellbeing and engagement of our children would be positively transformed overnight. Harrison epitomises this.”

Mrs. Ann Thompson - Teaching Consultant, Naturally Creative Consultancy

"Harrison is an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher; he has the skills and commitment to encourage and develop his students. His workshops encompass a variety of skills and media to enable students to be better prepared for employment and social inclusion. Harrison's involvement in the United Nations 'Sustainable Development Goals' programme demonstrates how he has focused his attention to promote change and highlight important global concerns whilst providing opportunity for his students to reach their potential. I have no hesitation in recommending this programme to others that seek to engage their students in lasting, meaningful and worthwhile endeavour."

PDG. Joan Elliott - Youth Officer, Lions International

"It’s my absolute pleasure to recommend and endorse Harrison and this initiative - I truly believe him to be both exciting and creative in his approach to ‘set free’ the minds of young students in their academic journeys. Harrison is driven by a deep desire to teach and help others; he has the natural ability to make our students passionate about learning - his workshops ignite their inner curiosity, giving them confidence in their own capacity to learn. Passionate individuals such as Harrison instinctively generate enthusiasm - this brings out the best in students and allows their performance to soar. Highly recommended."
